Man charged after 'handgun, ammunition, drugs and cash' found in Rowley Regis

A man has been charged after a gun and class-A drugs were allegedly found in Rowley Regis. Police stopped a car on Beeches Road, just after 11am on Wednesday.

A handgun and ammunition, along with drugs and a quantity of cash, were allegedly recovered. Two police officers were also reportedly assaulted.

Khari Salmon, aged 20, has been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of drugs with intent to supply and assaulting two officers. He will appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court in November.

West Midlands Police said: "A man has been charged after we recovered a gun and class A drugs in Rowley Regis. On Wednesday, traffic officers stopped a vehicle on Beeches road just after 11am.

"A handgun and ammunition along with drugs and a quantity of cash was recovered. Khari Salmon, aged 20 has been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of drugs with intent to supply and assaulting two officers.

"He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court next month."
