Get Me Out Of Here! audiences were left in fits of laughter after claiming they caught a cheeky dig from host Ant McPartlin aimed at Dean McCullough. In the episode, Maura Higgins and Jane Moore discovered they had topped the public vote, meaning they would face the Fright At The End of The Tunnel challenge together.
When breaking the news, presenters Ant, aged 49, and Declan Donnelly joined the campmates, with Ant announcing: "Dean, the public have decided it's not you."
This followed Dean's sixth trial stint on Tuesday night, which saw him repeatedly selected for the daunting Bushtucker Trials, often with limited success. Upon hearing he wouldn't be facing his seventh Trial, an ecstatic Dean celebrated with fellow campmates, prompting Ant to jest: "We're as thrilled as you are Dean! " Viewers took to Twitter to comment on Ant's playful jab regarding the show's twist.

Ahead of the Trial, GK Barry expressed his faith in Jane's abilities by saying: "This woman is going to sleep so peacefully tonight, she's wanted to do a Trial since she got here and I know she's gonna absolutely smash it."
On a scarier note, Maura confessed her fears: "I'm petrified, I just don't want to let everyone down."
As they approached the Trial clearing, hosts Ant and Dec greeted the celebs, with Ant commenting based on the previous night's Fright Bus: "You're probably the screamiest bunch of celebrities we've ever had on this show! " The duo went on to explain that the challenge involved two tunnels—one above ground and the other below—with the celebrity on top searching for hidden codes to convey to their submerged partner, who would then have to unlock stars using those codes. Choosing their paths, Maura braced herself for the trek above, while Jane decided to go underwater.
With 12-minute time frame to collect as many of the 12 stars as possible, the countdown began and Maura started her frenetic search, soon realising she wasn't alone; alongside her were toads, lizards, and her phobia-inducing spiders.
During the challenge, Jane battled through the underwater tunnels, yet her progress was hindered when her goggles fogged up, making it difficult for her to keep her head under water long enough to secure the stars. Despite the setbacks, Jane and Maura bagged a commendable six out of 12 stars for camp, earning accolades from Ant and Dec who commented: "That was a very, very tough Trial, so I think you did remarkably the pair of you, you should both be very proud."
Following the Trial, an overwhelmed Maura couldn't hold back her tears as she reflected on her achievement.
