CAFCL: African Stars get financial boost for Pirates clash
by KickOff Reporter · KickOffNamibian outfit African Stars SC have been given a financial boost ahead of their CAF Champions League date with Orlando Pirates.
The Namibians booked their spot in the second preliminary round last week after overturning a 3-1 first-leg loss to defeat AS Mangasport 2-0 in the second leg and advanced on the away-goals rule.

The Buccaneers now stand in the way of the Namibians securing a spot in the group stage phase for the first time in their history.
The club have now been gifted a cash injection to help with their preparation.
"African Stars Football Club hereby acknowledges the receipt of a N$250,000 Preparatory Grant from the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture in support of the club's participation in the CAF Champions League," the club announced in a statement.
"The grant will contribute towards the club's preparations and participation requirements as African Stars represents Namibia on the continental stage.
"African Stars Football Club extends its appreciation to the Ministry for its support towards the club's continental campaign and its continued contribution to the development of Namibian football."
