West Las Vegas school holding classes virtually Friday due to water issues

A high school in the west Las Vegas Valley will hold classes virtually Friday due to a “critical water systems leak and water damage,” the Clark County School District announced.

In a letter sent to parents, Cimarron-Memorial High School Principal Colin McNaught advised families that there would be no in-person classes on campus Friday.

Students are expected to log in to their virtual classes. McNaught said additional information about how to access the classes would be sent in a separate message.

McNaught said the issue was caused by a “critical water systems leak and water damage,” but did not provide further details.
