Mrs Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll has slammed false reports he’s fighting for life, insisting he’s “healthy as f***”.

Rumours about his health started circulating after someone pretending to be his son Danny claimed on social media that he was seriously ill.

Fans were also concerned by an AI-generated photo of Brendan appearing to be wearing an oxygen mask in hospital.

Speaking to the The Irish Sun, Brendan reassured fans: “None of this is f***ing true. I am as healthy as f***. I have never felt better.

“My wife Jenny read out a message to me this morning, saying I’m in hospital with pancreatic cancer and I wanted people to remember me.

“None of this is f***ing true. I have never felt better — and if I do die it will be on stage and not in a hospital.”

Addressing the fake social media post, the 70-year-old continued: “It wasn’t Danny — it was somebody posing as Danny.

“I do genuinely feel sorry for reporters, you have your work cut out for you with stuff like this happening.”

Brendan also said when his time does come, he’s not afraid of dying.

“But if I go, I go. I’m not scared,” he said.

“I’m not in a position where I’d be regretting not having done more with my life. I have achieved more than in my wildest dreams.”

Brendan also hilariously confessed he will have no fortune left to leave behind for his children.

He said: “I have sat my kids down to discuss this and told them: ‘There will be f*** all left cause I intend to spend every last cent before I go. They can f*** off.”
