A New Phone Store Is Coming to Amarillo and It Opens This Fall

One of the great things about Amarillo is its business growth. The city is growing, and that means more and more people and businesses are moving into the Yellow City. That's why we love sharing that another new business is getting ready to open up in Amarillo.

We all love to joke that there is a Toot'n Totum and a coffee shop on every corner here in the city, but another business you can't have enough of is the phone business.

It's time to get excited, Amarillo. We have another phone company moving into Amarillo to give you more choices in where you get your phone plan.

This will be the first retail store for this company in Amarillo. You can currently buy their plans in Target and Walmart.

Where Is the New Consumer Cellular Store Located?

Consumer Cellular is opening a new storefront in Amarillo. Their new location will be in the Shops at Soncy, 3420 Soncy Rd, Suite 300.  They will be next to Sports Clips and Starbucks.

When Will Consumer Cellular Open in Amarillo?

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, remodeling of the space is expected to begin in July, with a completion date of September. The cost of the project is expected to be $4,000.

We did reach out to Consumer Cellular to find out when they expected to open and how many jobs the store would bring to Amarillo.

The tentative opening date for the Amarillo store is October, a Consumer Cellular spokesperson said.

They also said to reach out closer to opening for more details.

What Plans Does Consumer Cellular Offer?

According to the website, Consumer Cellular plans start at $20 for basic and $60 for unlimited.
