No School Monday as VISD Prepares for Icy Weather in Victoria
· NewsTalk 1290VISD has just cancelled school next Monday, January , 26, 2026.
Severe weather is on its way to the Crossroads this weekend, and VISD isn’t taking any risks. A mass message was sent out around 1:45 pm on Friday informing parents that VISD campuses will be closed to prepare for the icy and potentially dangerous weather.
Parents are encouraged to keep up to date with any announcements through the VISD social media accounts. If you don’t have social media, that’s okay. The District will be sharing any updates through their text notification system as well.
Be sure to stay safe this weekend and stay warm. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have a safe place to stay as freezing temperatures approach, there are various warming centers set up across Victoria.
