Myanmar, which is rich in bird species, has begun welcoming 12 globally threatened bird species as migratory birds to the Moeyungyi wetland wildlife sanctuary during the current winter season, according to reports. Due to the El Niño phenomenon, authorities have been monitoring possible changes in the arrival patterns of migratory birds at wetlands and wildlife sanctuaries during the winter season. Migratory birds have now begun arriving at Moeyungyi lake and its associated wetland areas.
