In Uttar Pradesh's Banda, the farm pond scheme is emerging as a new source of irrigation for farmers. Rainwater is being stored in ponds built on farms, allowing farmers to irrigate their crops when needed. More than 4,800 farmers have benefited from the scheme so far.
