Scientists have found an answer to an age-long riddle over which came first the chicken or the egg following research on a prehistoric organism that was discovered in 2017

The revelation comes from the study of a single-celled organism called Chromosphaera perkinsii, an Ichthyosporean microbe that has existed for over a billion years.
