Two persons drowned in the water accumulated in a quarry pit while bathing near Elayirampannai on Wednesday. Police identified the deceased as S. Sanjay, 17, and C. Sivanraj, 21, of Alayoorani near Sivakasi. They had gone to their friend’s house in Vellaiyapuram to participate in a temple festival.
