The 30-bed Thoneze Station Hospital in Nawnghkio Township has reopened after being closed for more than two years and has resumed medical services. The hospital, which was temporarily shut down in late November 2023 due to regional security incidents, was repaired and reopened on the morning of December 21, 2025, under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and the Shan State Government, with cooperation from local authorities, ethnic residents, and volunteers.
