Operating under the Department of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health, Yangon General Hospital is a 200-bed public hospital and also serves as a teaching hospital for the University of Medicine (1), Yangon. The hospital is staffed with professors and specialist physicians in general medicine and general surgery, providing treatment for both medical and surgical patients.
