The curfew imposed in 44 townships across Yangon Region, (excluding Cocokyun Township), will be lifted starting from the morning of December 27, according to preliminary reports. The curfew had been enforced under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code as part of measures to maintain security, stability, and the rule of law. Under the order, movement was restricted between 1:00 am. and 3:00 am. in the affected townships.
