British study: Vaccinated young women no longer die of cervical cancer
June 18 (UPI) -- Women have nearly zero chance of death from cervical cancer if they were vaccinated against human papilloma virus at age 12 to 13, a new study shows.
Cervical cancer deaths in young women fall to zero after HPV vaccination: Study
A study in England found no cervical cancer deaths between 2020 and 2024 among women aged 20 to 24 who received the HPV vaccine as teenagers. The findings add strong evidence that high HPV vaccination uptake can save lives and support efforts to eliminate cervical cancer.
