PAF strikes in Kabul and Nangarhar, destroying military installations and terrorists’ hideouts

Residents of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have expressed support for the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) following reported airstrikes on targets in Kabul and Nangarhar, which they say were carried out in response to cross-border attacks affecting Pakistani civilians.
According to local accounts, tensions escalated after a mortar attack allegedly struck civilian areas in Bajaur district. Citizens said the incident targeted the civilian population and demanded a firm response from the Pakistani state.
In response, the Pakistan Air Force reportedly conducted strikes against what residents described as terrorist infrastructure, including weapons depots and drone workshops, in Kabul and Nangarhar. Locals claimed the operations caused significant damage to militant hideouts.
People in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa paid tribute to the Pakistan Army and the Air Force, describing the action as necessary for national defense. “Yesterday a mortar attack was carried out in Bajaur. Such attacks on civilians must be responded to,” said one resident, emphasizing the need to prevent further cross-border violence.
Several citizens also stressed that Pakistan had shown restraint toward Afghanistan for decades but believed the latest developments required a decisive response to protect Pakistan’s territorial integrity and the safety of its people.
Residents urged Pakistani security forces to continue operations against militant elements responsible for attacks inside Pakistan, saying the strikes send a strong message that the country is capable of defending itself against external threats.
Officials have not yet released a detailed public statement regarding the reported strikes or their impact. The situation along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border remains tense as security concerns persist in the region.
