Afghan Taliban collecting funds for TTP in Afghanistan, suggests reports
by Central Desk · Dispatch News DeskIslamabad, Pakistan: Pakistan’s Defence Minister has issued a strongly worded statement cautioning India against what he described as “threat-mongering” and attempts to escalate tensions, as the anniversary of the Pahalgam incident approaches.
In a message posted on social media platform X, the minister said that “repeated rhetoric reflects not strength, but visible strategic anxiety,” alleging that the episode in Pahalgam was a “staged false flag operation” that failed to stand up to international scrutiny. He further accused New Delhi of relying on “manufactured crises” to advance its political objectives. The statement characterized India’s posture as part of a “predictable pattern” aimed at externalizing internal challenges while provoking regional escalation through “unsubstantiated allegations.”
Warning of serious consequences in the event of miscalculation, the defence minister invoked past military confrontations, stating that “history stands as a stark reminder that miscalculation has consequences,” and referencing “Marka-e-Haq” as a symbol of Pakistan’s resolve.
He emphasized that while Pakistan remains committed to peace and regional stability, it is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty. “Let there be no ambiguity,” the minister said, adding that any response from Pakistan would be “swift, calibrated, and decisive.”
The minister also underscored the risks of conflict between two nuclear-armed states, calling the notion of war “inconceivable” and warning of its potentially “drastic consequences.”
The statement comes amid ongoing tensions between the two neighboring countries, with analysts noting that rhetoric from India can intensify adverse geopolitical developments.
