Resigned Or Forced Out? Tulsi Gabbard Exits Trump Administration Amid Husband's 'Extremely Rare Form of Bone Cancer'!

Tulsi Gabbard is the latest person to leave the Trump administration, but did she make the decision for herself, or was she forced out?

The Director of National Intelligence announced her resignation from the position on Friday, saying she is stepping down to support her husband, Abraham Williams, who had been diagnosed with “an extremely rare form of bone cancer” recently. The letter addressed to President Donald Trump read:

“At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle. Abraham has been my rock throughout our eleven years of marriage. His strength and love have sustained me through every challenge. I cannot in good conscience ask him to face this fight alone while I continue in this demanding and time-consuming position.”

Her resignation is effective June 30th. See the entire letter (below):

Trump reacted to the news on Truth Social shortly after, revealing that Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Aaron Lukas, will take her place for the time being:

“Unfortunately, after having done a great job, Tulsi Gabbard will be leaving the Administration on June 30th. Her wonderful husband, Abraham, has been recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, and she, rightfully, wants to be with him, bringing him back to good health as they currently fight a tough battle together. I have no doubt he will soon be better than ever. Tulsi has done an incredible job, and we will miss her. Her highly respected Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Aaron Lukas, will serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence.”

The story is that Tulsi chose to resign for personal reasons, and we do feel for her and her family during this difficult time! Cancer is a horrible, horrible disease to go through. But there is speculation that her resignation may not have been voluntary!

You see, Tulsi reportedly was excluded from the Iran war discussions in the beginning and the planning of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s capture. There have also been reports that Trump’s relationship with Tulsi soured because they had a lot of differences over policy, especially regarding Iran. And back in March, one of her top aides worsened things after he quit in protest of the war. Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center, slammed the conflict in a letter to Trump, saying Iran “posed no imminent threat to our nation” before the US and Israel attacked the country on February 28.

Shortly after his resignation, Tulsi declined to say whether Iran’s nuclear program was an “imminent threat” to the US while testifying before the Senate panel. A month later, The Guardian reported that Trump privately asked other Cabinet members if he should fire Tulsi! The president was then asked aboard Air Force One that same month if he still had confidence in her leadership, and he replied that she is “softer” on Tehran’s nuclear ambitions than he is:

“Yeah, sure. I mean, she’s a little bit different in her thought process than me, but that doesn’t make somebody not available to serve.”

Now Reuters has reported that a source familiar with the matter claimed Tulsi was forced out by the White House, meaning she possibly didn’t resign voluntarily at all! Whoa!

At this time, neither the White House nor Tulsi has addressed the claim. But what are your thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments (below).
