Guardiola breaks silence after Man City found guilty of 114 financial breaches

Guardiola, who has since left the club, broke his silence on Wednesday in a post on X, where he expressed his continued backing for the club’s owner, chairman, senior executives, players, staff and supporters. The Premier League confirmed the commission’s findings on Tuesday.
Guardiola said: “I want every single @ManCity fan to know I am here; more than ever.
“I am, always have been, always will, be behind my club, my owner, my chairman, Ferran, the players, staff, Enzo and you, our unique supporters.
“Let me be clear: we will get through this together. I love you all.”
The commission found that the breaches related to a nine-season period between 2009/10 and 2017/18.
According to the Premier League, City arranged “sham” contracts with some commercial partners and relied on other “sham” agreements to artificially inflate revenue and reduce costs.
The commission also found that the club “filed misstated accounts and concealed the true state of its finances from its auditors and football regulators.”
The Premier League further said City “committed multiple breaches of its duties of co-operation and utmost good faith towards the League,” with three of four alleged breaches upheld.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters described the scale of the findings as significant, saying: “the club systematically broke Premier League Rules for nearly a decade” and that the final ruling “vindicates the Premier League’s decision to pursue this case against Manchester City.”
The findings have brought renewed scrutiny to City’s financial practices during the period under investigation, while the club continues to dispute the allegations and is expected to appeal the verdict.
The sanctions to be imposed on Manchester City have not yet been announced.
