“We are here, first, as Nigerians, and secondly as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to submit this very priceless nomination form of our dear President and leader, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he seeks to lead us for another four-year term,” he said.
The Vice President said the achievements recorded under the Renewed Hope Agenda should serve as a rallying point for Nigerians and party faithful to back Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
The submission of the forms marks an early step in preparations for the 2027 presidential election within the ruling party.
Recall that the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Lagos State, James Faleke, obtained the APC Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of the President.
Faleke, who also serves as founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, collected the forms in Abuja after the process was declared open by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu.
Afterward, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu and Minister of Works David Umahi both signed the form.
The procurement of the forms, valued at N100 million, formally signalled the commencement of Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
