KWAM 1 reunites MC Oluomo, Sego at Ibadan event
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlineFuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has renewed his call for peace between the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) President, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, and the Lagos State Chairman of the union, Mustapha Adekunle, popularly known as Tafa Sego.
The musician made the appeal during a performance at the 80th birthday celebration of Alhaji Mudassir Ogunlowo in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday.
In a video shared on the Instagram page of K1 De Ultimate Digital Media, KWAM 1 was seen performing with MC Oluomo and Sego standing on either side of him.
During the performance, the Fuji star used his lyrics to urge the two union leaders to maintain unity and work together.
“Mustapha and MC are in charge of the house. For those of you wishing them evil, we know you but it is left to you and God.
“If you are a commercial driver in Nigeria, this is your boss. MC, if you are on the move, make sure you hold Sego with you.”
The video was accompanied by a caption which read, “PEACE AT LAST! MC Oluomo & Mustapha Sego Finally End Their Long-Time Rift in Ibadan.”
The latest display came after KWAM 1 previously facilitated a reconciliation between the two NURTW figures at Ojusagbola in Ijebu, Ogun State, in the presence of several union chieftains.
The reconciliation was announced through the musician’s digital media platform, which said the two men had resolved their differences after years of disagreement.

“After years of an age-long rift, MC Oluomo and Tafa Sego have finally settled their differences. And from what we know now, this is final,” the post said.
The disagreement between the two men has been linked to leadership tensions within the Lagos chapter of the NURTW.
In January 2019, violence at an All Progressives Congress campaign rally in Ikeja left MC Oluomo injured. A supremacy battle involving supporters of MC Oluomo and Sego was reported to have disrupted the event, while the police subsequently declared Sego wanted over the incident.
In September 2019, Sego was appointed to the caretaker committee of the NURTW led by MC Oluomo.
MC Oluomo later resigned as chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the union in January 2024 amid a leadership dispute.
Tensions between their camps resurfaced at KWAM 1’s New Year All White Party in Lagos on January 2, 2026. During the event, the musician publicly recognised MC Oluomo as the head of the union, prompting a reaction from members associated with Sego’s camp.
The latest public appearance in Ibadan represents another effort by KWAM 1 to encourage reconciliation and lasting peace between the two NURTW leaders.
