Oyebanji Campaign Council announces schedule

Following the successful and widely attended formal launch of the re-election campaign of Governor Biodun Oyebanji (BAO) in Ado-Ekiti ahead of the June 20 governorship election, the Biodun Oyebanji Campaign Council has announced the commencement of its statewide grassroots campaign across all 16 Local Government Areas of Ekiti State.

According to the Biodun Oyebanji Campaign Council, the statewide strategic engagement will begin on May 4, 2026.

It is designed as a people-oriented outreach to connect directly with citizens at the grassroots level, while reinforcing the administration’s achievements and forward-looking agenda.

A statement by the campaign council said: “Party faithful, supporters, and other key stakeholders are hereby enjoined to note the schedule and remain within their respective Local Government Areas to receive His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and the campaign team.

“Participation in the organized moving entourage accompanying His Excellency shall be limited to duly approved individuals, comprising the Deputy Governor, Monisade Afuye, selected party officials, aides, and designated supporters.

“Additionally, the approved branded Ankara remains the official attire for welcoming the Governor in each Local Government Area.

“The Council reiterates its commitment to a peaceful, issue-based campaign that emphasizes performance, development strides, and a clear vision for the future of Ekiti State. 

“All engagements are expected to be conducted with decorum, mutual respect, and without recourse to personal attacks or political disparagement.

“Members are urged to mobilize effectively, ensure orderly participation, and demonstrate the unity and strength of our collective resolve.”
