Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara) has donated 500 cows to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara.

This is contained in a statement signed by Alhaji Ibrahim Birninmagaji, Chairman, Publicity Committee for Yari’s Political Organisation, issued in Gusau on Sunday.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Yari represents Zamfara West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

According to the statement, the cows have been distributed to APC members and stakeholders across the 147 political wards in the state’s 14 Local Government Areas.

“The gesture also covered party groups, elders, ward executives, members of Sen. Yari’s political structure, supporters of the Minister of Defence, Bello Matawalle, and new APC members who joined under Gov. Dauda Lawal,” it said.

The statement revealed that the donation was an annual initiative to support party leaders and members during festive periods.
