Police arrest suspected cult members terrorising Osun

This is contained in a statement by the command spokesperson and a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi.
According to Ojelabi on Sunday, a suspected notorious cultist know as “Small”, who was terrorising Iloro community, Ilesa town, was apprehended on Wednesday at about 6pm.
He said: “He confessed to being a member of Eiye confraternity.”
He said similarly, the Anti-Cultism Unit of the command, through intelligence, arrested suspected cultists at Sasa Area, Osogbo at about 1am on Friday.
He said efforts were still ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspect(s) of the group.

Ojelabi said exhibits recovered from the suspects included one axe, one live cartridge, one blue cap with Eye Confraternity logo, and six other caps.
He said all the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
He said the command’s Commissioner, CP Ibrahim Gotan, urged parents and guardians to rein in their wards to shun cultism and engage in meaningful businesses.
