2027: I’ll defeat Gov. AbdulRazaq Before 1pm — Senator
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineThe representative of Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has said that he will defeat Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the 2027 National Assembly election before 1pm.
Mustapha, who just defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party, made the boast on Friday.
He spoke on a Channels Television interview programme: “Politics Today.”
The lawmaker, who picked the PDP ticket by substitution, boasted he would defeat Governor Abdulrazaq in the January 16, 2027 election before 1pm.

Mustapha, however, denied insinuations that he has withdrawn his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general election.
He expressed support for the Rainbow Coalition, adding that a former President of the Senate and also former two-term governor of Kwara State, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has also thrown his weight behind the group.
