The structural failure occurred today, June 25, 2026, at approximately 11:40 AM.
According to eyewitness accounts, multiple individuals remain trapped under the rubble.
As of the time of filing this report, emergency rescue operators were still being mobilized to the scene immediately following the disaster.
This incident follows a troubling pattern of structural failures across Nigeria.
It comes just weeks after another three-storey building under construction partially collapsed on June 5, 2026, in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos, resulting in one fatality.
