May Day: PDP BoT felicitates Nigerian workers
by Osuntuyi Olamide · The Eagle OnlineThe Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has felicitated Nigerian workers on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day, describing them as the backbone of national development and urging stronger protection of their welfare amid current economic challenges.
This was contained in a message shared on the Official PDP Nigeria X platform on Friday by the Secretary of the BoT, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, and the Chairman of the BoT, Sen. Adolphus Wabara.
The PDP BoT leaders paid tribute to workers across the country for their resilience and contributions to national growth.
“Happy Workers’ Day! May the labour of our workers not be in vain. Every worker deserves the cover of an umbrella to shield them from the harsh drops of the current economic rain.”
They noted that Nigerian workers continue to make significant sacrifices in sustaining the economy despite prevailing economic hardship.
The PDP BoT leaders called for greater attention to workers’ welfare, stressing that fair treatment and improved living conditions remain essential to national stability and development.
