Turkish National Arrested in Greece on Interpol Red Notice

Greek police arrested a 29-year-old Turkish national after officers discovered that Interpol Turkey had issued a Red Notice against him in connection with an alleged intentional homicide.

Officers from the Department for the Prosecution of Crimes Against Life and Property, part of the Northern Greece Sub-Directorate for Organised Crime, made the arrest in the morning.

According to a police statement, the Red Notice concerns an intentional homicide allegedly committed in Istanbul in August 2020.

Authorities will bring the 29-year-old before the competent public prosecutor.
