Multiple flights targeted across Europe
The incidents involving the two Aegean flights came amid a wider wave of bomb threats targeting commercial aircraft across Europe.
According to reports by The Guardian, at least six flights operating across several European countries received threats on Thursday, prompting security responses at multiple airports.
The affected aircraft included two flights bound for Poland, one departing from the United Kingdom and another from Denmark, as well as a flight travelling from Israel to Bulgaria and another from the United Kingdom to Spain.
Two additional flights heading to Rome were also subjected to security checks.
All the aircraft landed safely, with authorities carrying out inspections following the threats.

Despite the threats, no explosives or other suspicious findings had been reported in the incidents described.
