Greek Prime Minister in Kastellorizo for 83rd Liberation Anniversary

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in Kastellorizo, beginning a three-day visit to the remote eastern Aegean island that will culminate on Sunday with events marking the 83rd anniversary of its liberation.

According to his programme, Mitsotakis will meet with Megisti Mayor Nikolaos Asvestis before visiting projects and infrastructure across the island.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister will attend the official commemorative events marking the 83rd anniversary of Kastellorizo’s liberation.

Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis will also be on the island, accompanied by MPs Manos Konsolas and Vassilis Ypsilantis.

Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Dimitrios Choupis and senior Armed Forces officers will also attend the commemorations.
