Man Accused of Hiding Drugs Inside Relative’s Grave
by Kosta Papadopoulos · Greek City TimesGreek police have arrested a 36-year-old man after allegedly discovering cannabis hidden inside the grave of a relative at a cemetery in the Municipality of Alexandria in northern Greece.
According to police, the suspect used a storage compartment within the grave to conceal 38.18 grams of unprocessed cannabis.
Officers from the Veria Drug Enforcement Unit carried out a search at the cemetery on Thursday afternoon and found the cannabis along with two digital precision scales, which they seized as evidence.
Police arrested the 36-year-old on charges of drug possession and trafficking.
The General Regional Police Directorate of Central Macedonia has also published video footage relating to the case on its official Facebook page as part of its announcement.
