Cyprus Cabinet Approves Trade Centre in Mumbai

The Council of Ministers has approved the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry’s proposal to create a Commercial Centre of the Republic of Cyprus in Mumbai, India, according to a post by Minister Michalis Damianou.

The Centre will operate alongside the existing Commercial Centre in New Delhi, strengthening Cyprus’ presence in one of India’s most important economic and financial centres, as Mr Damianou notes.

“Its main mission will be the promotion of Cypriot products and services, the strengthening of exports, the development of business partnerships and the attraction of investments from India to Cyprus.”

The decision implements a relevant announcement by the President of the Republic during his state visit to India in May 2026 and further strengthens the economic and commercial dimension of the Cyprus–India Strategic Partnership.
