by SpotboyE Team · SpotboyESalman Khan has reportedly stepped forward to support families affected by the devastating floods in Assam. According to reports, the actor has joined hands with his charitable foundation, Being Human, and the Salman Khan Fan Club (SKFC) Assam to launch a multi-phase relief initiative aimed at helping people in the state's worst-hit regions.
As part of the first phase of the campaign, volunteers have begun distributing ready-to-eat food packets and other essential supplies to flood-affected families, particularly in Sivasagar. The food kits reportedly include biscuits, jaggery, poha, puffed rice, bread, cheese and jam—enough to sustain a family for nearly three days. In addition to food, relief teams are also providing drinking water, water purification tablets, sanitary pads and mosquito coils to those in need.
A source close to the actor reportedly revealed that Salman personally coordinated with SKFC Assam to ensure relief reached the affected areas while continuing to shoot for his upcoming film in Mumbai. The humanitarian effort is expected to continue in multiple phases over the coming weeks.
The second phase of the initiative will reportedly focus on distributing ration kits and medicines to families impacted by the floods. The final phase is expected to help rebuild schools and hospitals that have suffered extensive damage due to the natural disaster.
Apart from Salman, several celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, singer Papon and actor Adil Hussain have also urged people to contribute towards relief efforts in Assam. The state has been battling one of its worst flood crises in recent years, prompting celebrities and humanitarian organisations to come forward and support those affected.
