Youths misbehave  atop Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: Nine youths, who allegedly caused inconvenience to the public near the View Point atop Chamundi Hill, were traced by the Police, taken to the Police Station and warned against repeating such behaviour.

The incident came to light yesterday morning when a video showing the youths sitting on the wall near the View Point, allegedly smoking and consuming alcohol and harassing members of the public, went viral on social media.

Taking serious note of the incident, jurisdictional Krishnaraja (KR) Police traced the youths and brought them to the Police Station. The youths, who claimed to be from Kushalnagar, were warned against indulging in such activities in future.

According to a press release issued by the Mysuru City Police, all nine youths were taken into custody and appropriate legal action was initiated before they were released. The Police have also confirmed that a case has been registered at the Krishnaraja Police Station in connection with the incident.
