Free legal services stall opens at Dasara Expo 

Mysuru: A Free Legal Services Stall has been set up at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds to provide legal assistance and create awareness among the public, said Principal District and Sessions Judge and District Legal Services Authority Chairman B. Jayanth Kumar. 

He was speaking after inaugurating the stall, jointly organised by the District Legal Services Authority, Judicial Department, Mysore Bar Association, Karnataka Exhibition Authority and Tourism Department. 

Jayanth Kumar said, the initiative was aimed at helping people understand legal provisions and seek assistance in resolving disputes through courts. It would also guide those facing cases in defending themselves through the legal process. 

With lakhs of people visiting the exhibition, the stall would make legal information and assistance easily accessible to the public, he said. He urged visitors to make use of the facilities and guidance                      available at the stall. 

Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Nagaraj Siddappa Ankasadoddi, Mysore Bar Association President S. Lokesh, Karnataka Exhibition Authority Chief Executive Officer K. Rudresh, Judges of Mysuru city, office-bearers and members of the Bar Association, panel Advocates, Legal Aid Defence Counsels, staff members and others were present.
