BE-M.Tech graduate, friend held in 9 bike theft cases
by InsideOut Consult · Star of MysoreMysuru: The Mysuru District Police have arrested two persons, including a BE-M.Tech graduate, allegedly involved in bike thefts and cracked nine cases reported in different parts of Karnataka.
Nine stolen Royal Enfield bikes, collectively valued at Rs. 10 lakh, have been recovered from the accused. They were experts in high-value Royal Enfield bikes and had learnt precision techniques in stealing them.
The arrested are Ajay Gowda (35), a BE-M.Tech graduate and cryptocurrency businessman from Yelahanka, Bengaluru, and H.R. Praveen (31)of K.R. Nagar taluk. The two are old friends and Ajay Gowda had suffered severe losses in his cryptocurrency business, according to the Police.
The Police said the accused were experts in breaking bike locks and had allegedly stolen the Royal Enfield bikes from different Police Station limits, including K.R. Nagar, Turuvekere, Kadugodi, Nuggehalli, Parappana Agrahara and Pension Lane Mohalla in Bengaluru. Further investigation is on.
