Written exam for KSRP Constable posts held in city

Mysuru: A written exam for the post of Constables in Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) was held under tight Police security at various centres across the city yesterday.

The written exam was held in 33 centres including Sarada Vilas PU College, St. Philomena’s PU College, D. Banumaiah’s PU College and Teresian College.

Candidates taking part in the exam were thoroughly checked before allowing them inside and were prevented from taking mobile phones, bags and other items inside the exam hall. Police were deployed and only the candidates and exam staff were allowed inside. All photocopy shops and internet centres around 200 metres of the exam centres were closed from 6 am to 6 pm and prohibitory order under Section 163 was imposed around the centres to prevent any malpractices. Vigilance squads also inspected the centres.
