Congress rally in city on July 31 to fete CM Shivakumar postponed

The Congress, which had scheduled to hold a mega rally of party workers and felicitation to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who is arriving in the city for the first time on July 31 after becoming the CM, has postponed the rally due to various reasons.

In a press statement, the City and District Congress said that the rally was to take place at J.K. Grounds near the City Railway Station at 3 pm. The CM was also scheduled to welcome Prime Minister Modi, who is visiting the city on Aug.1. But now the July 31 rally has been postponed as there is no certainty about Shivakumar arriving in city tomorrow.
