Govt. has ordered publication of cancelled site list: Srivatsa

Mysuru: Krishnaraja MLA T.S. Srivatsa has said that the State Government has responded positively to his appeal seeking transparency in the controversial 50:50 site allotments made by the erstwhile Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

The Government has directed Mysuru Development Authority (MDA) officials and the Deputy Commissioner, who is also the MDA Chairman, to publicly release the complete list of cancelled sites and set up a dedicated helpline for citizens seeking information and assistance.

Srivatsa said, he had earlier written to the Urban Development Department, welcoming the Government’s decision to cancel the irregular allotments and urging it to publish the list to ensure transparency.

Acting on his letter, Urban Development Department Secretary K. Latha has instructed the MDA Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner to take necessary action in accordance with the prevailing laws, circulars and regulations.

“This move will help citizens understand which allotments have been annulled and provide them with a clear channel for queries and grievances,” Srivatsa said in his statement.

He added that the helpline would help prevent confusion among citizens and ensure accountability.
