UK's most beautiful walk is a circular route with three pubs to choose from
by Vita Molyneux · DevonLiveAs winter sets in, what could be more appealing than a refreshing Sunday stroll followed by a cosy pub lunch?
Outdoor experts at Millets have unveiled their top 'pub walks' in England to undertake this winter, with one walk taking the crown. The research focused on walks that are accessible, family-friendly and feature at least one pub along the route.
The top-rated walk is the Seven Sisters and Friston Forest Circular located near Eastbourne. This 12.7km trail takes walkers past a series of chalk cliffs and offers an array of breath-taking views, from cliff sides to verdant forests.
Naturally, for a walk to be considered the best, it must include a warm and inviting pub to drop into - and this route boasts not just one, but three options.
The 'The Tiger Inn' in East Dean, 'The Selsey Arms' in West Dean and 'The Cuckmere Inn' in Exceat all make for excellent choices - and there's even a National Trust Cafe along the way for those who fancy a cup of tea.
