"The Movement Has Begun": MTG Just Escalated Her Fight Against Trump In 1 Major Way

Former Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene recently dropped a telling sign that she and Tucker Carlson could be planning to start a new political party in the wake of their very public breakups with Donald Trump and the GOP.

Greene shared a picture to her social media feed showing her and her husband, Brian Glenn, sitting at a wooden table with Carlson at his studio in Maine.

We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise.

The group is joined by two noteworthy faces: Rep. Thomas Massie, the Kentucky Republican who lost a primary battle against a Trump-backed opponent after he and Greene pushed for the release of the Epstein files; and Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who abruptly resigned from his post in March in protest of the president’s Iran war. Massie and Kent are joined by their wives, Carolyn Moffa and Heather Kent, respectively.

Like Greene, Carlson, Massie and Kent are among the most prominent conservative critics of a conflict that’s unpopular with a majority of Americans. “We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all,” wrote Greene, once a staunch MAGA supporter who has since deemed the movement to be “all a lie” following months of feuding with the president.

The post arrives after Greene took to social media in June to announce she was quitting the GOP, stressing she and “a lot” of others have been “fed up” with the party. “That does not mean we are turning into Democrats either. But we are DONE with the America LAST Republican Party,” she concluded.

Tucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party.

Days earlier, Carlson — who also bid farewell to the GOP, calling it “immoral” and “not loyal” to America — told the Columbia Journalism Review that he’s going to “help build a third party,” noting he wouldn’t, however, run as the party’s candidate.

Greene, in an interview with Piers Morgan back in June, argued Carlson could be a threat to both major parties if he ran for president before pivoting to talk around a group of political figures who have “literally fought the system.”

“I think there’s a group of us that if we decide to align, we could launch a true America-focused party that doesn’t fall into the traps of Democrats or Republicans, but could align some serious players from the right and the left,” she said.
