The Trump administration's official White House account is no stranger to posting truly abhorrent and insensitive content, but its most recent post might have just hit a new low.

As you are likely aware, over the weekend, the United States and Israel launched missile strikes on Iran. The death toll has reportedly surpassed 1,000, according to Al Jazeera. Among the strikes was an attack that purportedly hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh all-girls elementary school in Minab, which Iranian officials say killed at least 165 people, most of them young students between the ages of 7 and 12. The US has not taken responsibility for the attack.

As strikes on Iran continue to happen without a clear end in sight, the White House official Twitter account posted a roughly one-minute-long video of real military strikes set to hype music and a killstreak animation from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue," @WhiteHouse captioned the video on X.

We can't embed the video here, but here are a couple screenshots:

The music sings, "We're winning this fight," and later, "We're taking control," as footage shows vehicles, aircraft, and various locations being blown up.

I don't play Call of Duty, but it appears they earn more points ("+100" being considered a "standard" kill) with each kill.

Super classy and not-at-all-concerning stuff.

Naturally, people had many thoughts as the post circulated online. Here's what some had to say:

"Treating this war like a video game just days after [an alleged] U.S. strike likely killed more than 100 school girls takes a special kind of callousness."

But not everyone was so horrified. "Before anyone asks... YES! I voted for this!" one supporter wrote.

Well, I'm gonna go log off and pray for peace with the pope now. But let me know your thoughts in the comments.
