A Rouuuuugh-Looking Trump Made This Flub While Trying To Roast His Opponent On Stage

As far as President Donald Trump's passion for giving his enemies nicknames goes, he really fell off last night.

The lucky target in this case is Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff, who Trump insists looks like the beloved character Pee-wee Herman:

If you're not familiar with Ossoff, he actually lost his House race in 2017 to a Republican — with some progressives criticizing him as "Republican-lite" in the aftermath. He was then elected to the Senate in 2021, where he is now up for reelection against Representative Mike Collins. Ossoff is currently polling 9% ahead of Collins.

Yesterday, Trump held a rally in Marietta, Georgia, where he appeared to slur his words and railed against the country "going communist."

"[The communists] tried taking Mount Rushmore down. They want to blow it up. They want to take it down. They shouldn't be up there. These people are crazy. But communism is, in my opinion, communism is the single greatest threat to our country and its history, including even World War I and World War II, Pearl Harbor, 9/11," he continued.

Connecting the totally-real communist plot to blow up Rushmore to Georgia, he continued, "I said that this country will never be a socialist country. Remember, and I was right. They skipped socialism. They went right to communism. Georgia is a state that believes in common sense. And yet your terrible senator, Jon Ossoff, he's terrible. And the Democrats in Congress are voting with the communists every single time. They're afraid of the communists. I fought Ossoff before, as you know, and we won. We had a great success against this guy."

"He reminds me of Pinky Herman. Do you ever see Pinky Herman?" he asked the crowd.

15 minutes later, Trump corrected himself and said, "The most important man in this room right now is not here. His name is Mike Collins, and he's going to beat Pee-wee Herman."

"I hope you're going to vote for Mike," he continued. "You've got to vote for him because he's running against uh, I call him Pee-wee Herman. He's Pee-wee Herman lookalike. You know, I don't know, people don't know this, but I beat him once before as a congressional candidate. Does anybody know that?"

Okay, maybe that's enough time on stage, sir...
