This woman, Barbera Thornhill, is ALL over my timeline right now, so I did some Googling. Here's what I found!

1. She was confirmed as Trump's ambassador-at-large to combat human trafficking.

2. She has donated a lot of money to Republican political causes.

3. For example, she gave $98,527 to the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee in December 2024 and $44,300 to RNC Team 100 in June 2025.

4. She's also been involved with several Los Angeles charities.

5. Trump previously nominated her to be the US ambassador to Singapore in 2019.

6. But that never happened. Her nomination was withdrawn shortly after Joe Biden took office.

7. Before getting into politics, she was the president of a Los Angeles-based interior design company called Impact Design.

8. She says she lived and worked with Mother Teresa in India in 1994.

9. And lastly, an anti-trafficking organization was critical about her qualifications for the job before she was confirmed.
