Russian strikes on Kyiv resume after pause for Witkoff and Kushner visit – POLITICO

At least 12 people were killed overnight Monday into Tuesday in the first Russian airstrikes on Kyiv since the three-day ceasefire prompted by the visit of U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, authorities in the capital said.

Administrative buildings, warehouses, schools and residential buildings were damaged in six districts of Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported. At least 10 people were injured.

The overnight attack extended beyond the Ukrainian capital to the Odesa region. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it "a complex strike" that "tried to plan to cause as much harm to life as possible."
