1 taken to hospital after stabbing in Abbotsford park

The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says one person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing in a local park.

Officers were called to Jubilee Park, near McCallum Road and Switzer Avenue, just before midnight.

When they arrived, they found a 29-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

Police say he is now in stable condition.

The incident is believed to have been targeted.

“This investigation is in its early stages, as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the assault,” Sgt. Paul Walker told CityNews.
