Brian Hickerson reacted to not being invited to Hayden Panettiere's celebration of life event

Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach Hickerson, the two people who were by Hayden Panettiere's side on her deathbed, were snubbed from her September 2026 Malibu memorial. The reason might be her complex, on-and-off dynamics with Brian. Recently, sources close to the brothers told TMZ that Brian and Zach weren't upset about the exclusion. As per the insider, the Hickerson siblings know it's a sensitive time and understand why they were not invited.

Hayden's boyfriend, Brian, and his brother, Zach reportedly hoped for a beautiful celebration of life and legacy of the deceased. Regarding the brothers' current condition, both of them are reported to be in shock. The source shared that Brian Hickerson was still not able to process the grief of losing his girlfriend and move past the difficult time.

Brian Hickerson is reportedly not in a good place mentally or physically, having taken Hayden Panettiere's death hard. The same source shared the details with TMZ, claiming to have heard that Brian has lost about 40 pounds since Hayden died. In addition to his alleged deteriorating health, he reportedly hasn't had much sense of normalcy, according to the insider.

They added that Brian still has moments where he thinks his late girlfriend is going to call him. During those times, he reportedly thinks everything happening now will turn out to be a horrible dream. It probably refers to his wish that Hayden Panettiere's death was actually a nightmare and she would be by his side once he wakes up.

Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were reportedly present at the scene when she was found dead in an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina. The update appeared in a police report and was shared by NBC News on August 18, 2026. As per the report, Zach was reportedly "very emotional" while emergency medical services professionals were "working on Hayden" and trying to revive her.

Hayden's lover, Brian, surprisingly wasn't visibly emotional at that time, and he reportedly only teared up after she was pronounced dead. The next day, two uniformed officers who are investigating the death of Hayden visited Brian's family home in Greenville, South Carolina. One knocked on the front door while the other walked up the driveway.

As per a TMZ report, the Greenville Police Department paid a visit to Brian Hickerson's home as part of their investigation into possible criminal conduct in Hayden Panettiere's death. Notably, the autopsy revealed no foul play, and circumstantial evidence pointed to an overdose leading to Hayden's demise.

Nevertheless, the cops reportedly haven't ruled out the possibility of criminal conduct in her death. The police's recent visit to Brian's home might have been with the intention of questioning him regarding any circumstances that could be connected to Hayden Panettiere's "unexpected" death.
