Online personality Laura Viktoria Hartig recently lost her life a few weeks after a bicycle collision on July 12, 2026. The influencer was 30 years old at the time of her death. Laura was on her honeymoon when the incident happened on June 23, 2026. The Trento Prosecutor’s Office has started investigating the case to find more details.

Laura Viktoria Hartig was attracted to mountains at a very young age

Although Laura Viktoria Hartig’s date of birth has not been confirmed yet, she spent her childhood in Upper Bavaria. Laura credited her family for being the main reason she started loving mountains at a young age. She revealed on her website that her father and great-grandfather were mountaineers and hikers, and discussions about summits and tours were common at her home.

Laura said that her family members used to like the outdoors, and she was also the same, as she went hiking in hiking boots and climbing shoes, or on a mountain bike and a gravel bike. Laura even shared the details of her journeys on her website. However, she maintained long gaps of multiple months between the blog posts.

Laura’s last blog post came on June 16, 2026, which was about a ski tour through the Bernese Oberland. She described the entire experience by writing:

“With a bit of luck from high pressure, our long-awaited ski crossing through the Bernese Oberland actually became a reality: four days on the road between the mightiest glaciers in the Alps, three nights in mountain huts, four four-thousand-meter peaks in our luggage - and countless impressions from a landscape that is more reminiscent of the Arctic than of Europe.”

Laura was also active on Instagram with more than 53,000 followers, and she described herself as a UIMLA guide. Laura’s last post was shared on June 21, 2026, which was a video from her wedding. According to Us Weekly, her husband’s name was Tilman.

Laura Viktoria Hartig was hospitalised after the bicycle collision

As mentioned, Laura Viktoria Hartig died a few weeks after a bicycle collision. The incident occurred on June 23, 2026, near a mountain pass in Northern Italy, where Laura collided with skier Peter Runggaldier, who was riding a motorcycle uphill. Laura was injured after she was thrown off her bicycle, which was split in two.

The paramedics arrived at the spot and managed to revive Laura. She was immediately taken to a local hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries after being hospitalised for more than two weeks. The local police initially shared details about the incident on Facebook on June 24, 2026, and added two photos, one of which showed Laura’s damaged bicycle. The post stated:

“A motorcycle and a speed scooter were involved. Traffic was stuck for about an hour. Intervened in support of the Canazei VVF, the White Cross of Canazei, Trentino emergency and the helicopter services.”

Peter addressed the incident through an Instagram post on July 14, 2026. He requested everyone for privacy and ended by saying:

“My thoughts go out to all the people involved and their families. I trust in your sensitivity and please understand that at this time I will not give any interviews or statements.”
