Suspected fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have released a video showing coordinated attacks on several Nigerian military positions in Borno State.

The footage reportedly captured assaults carried out on March 5 on Nigerian Army locations in Mainok, Jakana, Marte and Konduga.

The video, shared on social media platform 𝕏 by researcher Brant Philip on Sunday, showed heavily armed insurgents firing weapons and setting parts of a military camp ablaze amid intense gunfire.

In the footage, the attackers were also seen displaying weapons, ammunition, military vehicles and several motorcycles allegedly seized from soldiers during the raids.

The fighters arranged the items in what appeared to be an inventory of captured equipment.

Voices speaking in Hausa and Arabic were heard in the background celebrating the operation.

“Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alamin, Allahu Akbar. God Almighty has brought us here and God Almighty has chased them away. All the vehicles you are seeing here belong to the Nigerian Army,” one of the voices said.

The video surfaced days after reports that terrorists carried out simultaneous attacks on four military bases in Borno State.

The raids reportedly targeted army positions in Mainok, Jakana, Marte and Konduga.

The attacks were said to have taken place between about 10 p.m. on Thursday and 3 a.m. on Friday.
