Peter Obi Greets Muslims On Eid al-Fitr, Calls For Peace, Unity

Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has felicitated with Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr celebration.

In a statement shared via his verified ₦ (formerly Twitter) handle, Peter Obi congratulated Muslims for successfully completing the Ramadan fast and urged them to sustain the virtues imbibed during the holy month.

Naija News reports that the former Anambra State Governor encouraged adherents to extend kindness to the less privileged and work collectively towards building a better nation.

He stressed the need for unity, justice, and peaceful coexistence across the country.

“My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, I rejoice with you on this blessed Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of Ramadan, a month of faith, sacrifice, discipline, and compassion,” Obi wrote.

He further urged Muslims to carry forward the spiritual lessons of Ramadan beyond the festive period.

“May the lessons of Ramadan; love, humility, generosity, and unity continue to guide us,” he added.

Obi also offered prayers for the country, seeking divine intervention in addressing its challenges.

“I pray Almighty Allah accepts your ibadah, forgives our shortcomings, and grants you and our country abundant blessings, security, and prosperity.

“Eid Mubarak! Eid Sa’id,” Obi prayed.
